Sonoran reptiles rescue

Conservation Through Education!

Sonoran Reptiles is a 501(c)(3) non-profit reptile rescue (tax ID 85-0891808) with a mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and educate people about reptiles and their importance on our planet.

Reptiles are an often undervalued cornerstone in every environment, including your very own back yard! These animals play an extremely important role in maintaining homeostasis in most habitats around the world. Without reptiles we would be overrun by vermin en masse & we wouldn’t have certain medicines that save human lives daily. Just like the honey bee, reptiles are a necessity on our planet and we need them as much as they need us.

Meet Our Reptile Ambassadors

The best way to learn about and appreciate reptiles is by experiencing them!

Reptile Rescue

Here at Sonoran Reptiles we take in, provide sanctuary for, and rehome various species of reptiles and amphibians who are sick, injured or their owners simply could not care for them any longer.

We also work with other rescues around the state to ensure quality of life and proper care of any animal dropped off with us. Not sure where to take an animal? Click here for a list of other wildlife groups we recommend!

Wildlife Education

We offer a variety of educational displays and presentations from private educational presentations for schools, clubs and businesses to educational displays for community events. We also offer a pop-up zoo that we call The Reptile Room for large community events such as county and state fairs.  These presentations and displays offer a positive learning experience with live reptiles that is entertaining and informative.

Reptile Parties & Events

Schedule our “Zoo to You” event for a fun birthday party, business party, or event experience.

Our “Zoo to You” parties are designed to be informative and fun. We include hands-on time with many of the reptile ambassadors that we bring, and exciting photo opportunities

Most people know that we, as humans, are having an effect on wildlife. However, not many of us realize the negative impact we personally have on native wildlife in our own back yards. Education creates understanding and understanding is how we can turn a negative impact into a positive one.
